Ingredients
1 box instant vanilla pudding mix
2 c. cold milk
1 store-bought angel food cake
3/4 c. heavy cream
1 1/2 c. semisweet chocolate chips
Directions to make the delicious Boston Cream Cake
Make pudding
Whisk together the pudding mix and the milk until the mixture is thick in a large bowl. This should take about 3 minutes.
Slice angel food cake in half lengthwise and spread a thick layer of pudding of top of the bottom layer. For this purpose, you will have about ¼ of the batch of pudding left. This will depend on the size of the cake you made.
Top with angel food cake top.
Make ganache
Heat the heavy cream over low heat in a small saucepan until the heavy cream bubbles. Place the chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl and pour it over the hot heavy cream.
Let everything sit or 5 minutes and whisk everything until it is smooth and no clump remain.
Pour ganache over the angel food cake until the top layer is covered.
Let the cake set for 10 minutes before slicing.
