Don’t forget the cobwebs

Autumn draws spiders to the messy corners. That means annoying cobwebs in the corners. Next time you have got any dusting sessions planned, don’t forget to tackle the cobwebs too. Grab a long feather duster and start up high. Swipe over walls ceilings.

Plus the corners of the rooms along with around the light fittings. You might need a small ladder for this.

Clean your windows

Condensation often gathers on the windows with the heat around autumn. It’s important to give frames some TLC to prevent them from being damaged from excess moisture.

Ideally you should clean the windows on the inside as well and on the outside. If you can’t picture doing this yourself, you can even hire a professional. This might seem like an unnecessary cost so we encourage that you take care of it on your own.

Get ready to enjoy that extra shot of natural light in the autumn.

Clean the skirting boards

There is another area that you might often miss once you have done a thorough dusting. The skirting boards.

Skirting boards might not need anything more than a quick once-over. Our favorite and the easiest way to do this is with a vacuum. Attach a brush attachment to your vacuum and get this done!

However, if you have let the skirting boards to gather up dust, you might need a slightly dampened microfiber cloth to get the job done.

This is the greatest time to clean upholstery

Autumn is also the home theatre season. So make sure your couch is extremely cosy and clean. We recommend you to vacuum over the upholstery with a soft brush. If it smells a little funny, sprinkle some baking soda and leave it for 15 minutes. Vacuum once again to get the upholstery smelling nice.
