Directions to make the Ice Cream Sundae Cupcakes
Preheat the oven to 3500. Line a 12-cup cupcake with the cupcake liners.
Prepare the cake batter as per the instructions given on the box.
Fill each cupcake liner for about two-thirds full with batter and bake the cupcakes until a toothpick inserted into each cupcake comes out clean. This should take about 20 minutes.
Let the baked cupcakes cool for a while. This should be done while you make the frosting
Make the frosting
Combine the powdered sugar and butter in a large bowl. Beat the ingredients with a hand mixer until it is smooth and fluffy.
If you feel like the mixture is too thick, beat in the milk.
Scoop the frosting on to the cooled cupcakes using an ice cream scoop.
Drizzle the ice cream with chocolate syrup and garnish the cupcakes with sprinkles and cherries.
