Ingredients for Dr.Pepper Poke Cake
For the Cake
1 box chocolate cake mix
1 12-oz. can Dr. Pepper
1 11-oz. jar hot fudge, warmed
For the Frosting
1 c. (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
2 tbsp. Maraschino cherry juice (from jar)
1/4 tsp. kosher salt
Maraschino cherries, for garnish
Directions to prepare the super delicious Dr.Pepper Poke Cake
Preheat the oven to 3500 and grease a 9” x 13” cake pan.
Combine the cake mix and the Dr. Pepper and mix everything until smooth in a large bowl.
Transfer the mixture into a pan and bake it until a toothpick inserted into the baked cake comes out clean. The baking should take about 25 minutes.
Poke the cake all over with a bottom of a wooden spoon. Pour the hot fudge into the holes you just made in the cake.
Make the frosting for the Dr.Pepper Poke Cake
Beat butter, the powdered sugar, vanilla, Marachino juice and salt in a large bowl using a hand mixer.
