Yes, I felt that shudder down my spine too. Delicious as wine can be, it has all evil powers to destroy your carpet with a mere spill. Start by bloating the stain before it sets in, even if that means breaking up the party!. Add a tablespoon of white vinegar to two cups of warm water and one tablespoon of a dishwashing liquid and start dabbing.

By my opinion, these are in the top five of the most annoying stains to get rid of. Start with carpet cleaning that considers the initial mess and remove the debris with gloves. If it’s wet, you can simply mix up ¼ cup of vinegar or white wine with a half a cup of warm water and blot the stain. If it is dry you can simply make it with the same mixture. Add some laundry detergent to a spray bottle with water and use it on the stain to deal with the odor.

Coffee Stains

Ahhh the horror! There is nothing worse than walking into a yellowish-brown stain staring at you from the carpet. Firstly blot the stain with a white towel but make sure you are not spreading the stain even further! Mix up vinegar and non-bleach detergent with water and just dab away. Don’t forget to do a patch test to assure you are not ruining your carpet.

Ink Stains

Soak a white piece of cloth with isopropyl alcohol and start dabbing the stain. Ensure you are not making the mistake of ever spreading the stain any further. Even white vinegar, white wine or anything with high contents of alcohol would work. Let the alcohol set in and remove the excess moisture with  a liquid friendly vacuum.
