Getting the Fabric Ready
Remember to choose a strong fabric and maybe an interesting one too. Measure the fabric 225cm long and 128cm wide and start cutting. Turn the seam allowance under at both the top and the bottom of the fabric. Measure this to be 1.25cm wide. Repeat this and sew in place. Turn in 6.25cm along the length of the fabric on the each side. Repeat this and sew in place.
Getting the Wooden Frame Ready
Cut the piece of dowel into two even halves. One half has to be 150cm. Drill two holes 8mm big, 3cm in from the both ends of the dowel. Thread both the dowels through the tabs at both ends.
Preparing the Ski Rope
Send one end of the rope through the drilled hole and tie a knot and singe the end of the rope. Do this to all four holes on both the dowels. Make sure you send the rope around the dowel a few times to ensure the rope is perfectly tied up with the dowel.
Hanging the Hammock
Gather the two ends of the ropes on one side and tie a knot right above the centre of the dowel. Do this to the other side as well. If you are not sure about the firmness of the knot you can tie up a few more knots along the rope. Place your hammock in between two trees and tie up the hammock ropes around the two trees.
